Europe has changed during the history regarding the gender equality issue but there are many problems in terms of participation and employment.

We propose a youth exchange within the Gender Equality project with the main aim to gain awareness young participants of how it is important to implement the principle of people equality reagardless of sex or any other personal circumstances.

The exchange will take place from 25th August to 2nd September 2017 in Rakican, Slovenia, at Mansion Rakican. The accommodation is a welcoming structure of 54 rooms that will host young participants from Slovenia, Romania, Spain, Hungary and Italy.

We are looking for 7 participants, between the ages of 18 and 30, and 1 group leader, who will be in charge of planning and managing activities during the exchange.

Travel costs are refunded up to € 275. Board and lodging are 100% covered. There is an additional expense of 60 euro except for the group leader.

Youth Exchange Information:

  • Where: Mansion Rakican, Rakican, Slovenia.
  • Duration: 9 days, from 25th August to 2nd
  • Accommodation and allowance: guaranteed by the Erasmus+ programme.
  • Travel cost: 2 ways travel ticket covered by the Erasmus+ programme up to a limit of € 275.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet young people from other countries, live and work together in a shared project. They will jointly organize a final intercultural evening, during which they will illustrate their culture through food, drinks and traditional items.

Gender Equality is a youth exchange funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission.
