Hosting organisation
“Réseau d’Entraide Volontaire” is a small community centre in a rural environment and organises short and long-term international workcamps, social integration projects, training programmes and actions for international solidarity. Founded in 1974 by a small group of locals, le Réseau d’Entraide Volontaire has become regional delegation of Solidarités Jeunesses in 1979.
Working activities
Volunteers will get to know and take an active part in the projects of the local centre: animation of one afternoon per week for kids from primary school, workshops with youngsters from the village, activities with older people from the seniors’ residence, English conversation workshops with locals, hosting groups, gardening activities etc. He/she will also participate in the renovation and maintenance of the organization’s house and local patrimony.
Costs covered by the project
The project will cover food and accommodation expenses; moreover every month the volunteer will receive a pocket money for additional personal expenses. The travel costs will be covered up to 275 euros. The project provides also a medical insurance.
