Would you like to live a unique sharing experience to break socio-cultural barriers and give new value to rural areas?
Solidarités Jeunesses (SJ) is seeking for volunteers for an EVS in the Maison des Bateleurs, a great volunteer’s residence in the rural area of Montendre, not far from Bordeaux.
The association seeks to promote education populaire and cares about the local environment and community in which the Maison is located.
EVS volunteers are invited to be active part in this promotion, meet and get to know one another, to create a constructive group dynamic, as well as to break stereotypes and prejudices by working together and living collectively. Everyone can teach and learn each other without the ways of formal educational. The Maison hosts constantly young people and becomes a summer residence for youngsters willing to contribute to work on the gardening, reconstructions and local workshops organised for the local community.

What is EVS?
EVS (European Voluntary Service) is an international volunteer program funded by the European Commission. It enables all young people legally resident in Europe, aged between 18 and 30 years, to carry out an international volunteer service in an organization or in a public body in Europe, Africa, Asia or South America for a period ranging from 2 to 12 months.
