Hey everyone,
My name is Tim Haring and for the past 5 months I have participated in the volunteering project CESIE within the project MAPPING SOLIDARITY through the European Solidarity Corps in Palermo. In these past months I have been involved with different kinds of new experiences and have met lovely people along the way.
Personally, I loved the fact how the organization focused on the fact how everyone can be him/herself and everyone can learn from each other.
I have learned to be more communicative and independent during my stay. Not only is this volunteering experience great for personal growth and opens a gateway of other possibilities but just as much an opportunity to give back to the people around you.
The different activities during my stay in Palermo regarding solidarity and meeting different people from different backgrounds gave me some different perspectives. Not only did I learn these things at the activities CESIE organised but just as much in my daily life at work at local centre while talking to different colleagues and friends.
I can be proud to have chosen such an exciting and new experience and have learned to be communicative, supportive, flexible and independent.
