On the 12-13 of December 2016 the Final European Conference and European Workshop of the “JOB-YES! Choose a job not a dole” project took place in Kaunas, Lithuania. The project, which is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (Key Action2: Strategic Partnerships in adult education) of the European Commission, is implemented by a consortium of seven partner organizations from Lithuania, Latvia, Spain, Italy and the UK.

In the afternoon, the Conference, held in the premises of Best Baltic Kaunas Hotel, started. More than 70 of local social workers, representatives of the authorities and Local Labour Exchange Offices, who came to event, were introduced to the content and methodology of the Job-Yes! project and to the tools developed within its frame.

Various presentations were given by the partners, local authorities and researchers cooperating with project, e.g panels presenting the results of national piloting sessions for IMILM model and the Multiplier events organised in partner countries, a panel describing possibilities of EPALE portal, or an interactive presentation, combined with a quiz involving the participants of the Conference, introducing the developed tools and suggesting how to use them in the daily practice.

During the panel presenting the success stories of the project’s beneficiaries, Lina Marščionkienė one of the Lithuanian participants, shared her story and explained why she finds the tools developed by the Job-Yes project useful for her personal and professional development.  Her story is available online as well: http://www.job-yes.eu/node/640. The events concluded with a presentation of certificates and networking dinner.

On 13th December took place a EU Workshop held at Raudondvaris Castle’s Orangery. The event gathered important social actors and representatives of Local Labour Exchange Offices from all around Lithuania and neighboring Poland and Latvia.  The meeting was dedicated to the presentation of the project and created models and tools, to receive participants’ feedback about project tools.  Participants also took part in a simulation testing exercise, when they could gain practical knowledge of use of the developed tools with their target groups during daily activities. The events concluded with a discussion evaluating the project outputs, followed by a networking lunch.

All the results of Job-Yes! are available on the project’s website (http://job-yes.eu/). For any further information , please contact Ms. Jelena Mazaj: jelena.mazaj@cesie.org.
