What are the useful tools for teachers and trainers who work in Second Chance Education field?

What do they need for sustaining their continuous professional development?

We spoke to 75 educators across Europe and asked them what their priorities for Continuous Professional Development are. Their responses indicate some major trends concerning what SCE teachers need in order to adequately address new challenges, such as integrating migrants and refugees into classes, and increasing the productive use of digital technologies.

The EPODS team has carried out a Joint User Needs Analysis, which provided valuable feedback and is helping guide the development of teacher-training modules.

The EPODS Joint User Needs Analysis is available at www.secondchanceeducation.eu/materials.

Where has EPODS been?

A successful meeting was held in Larnaca, Cyprus, in October 2017 hosted by partner CNTI: Cyprus Neuroscience Technology Institute. The team prepared the training for November, and continue development of our e-learning content for educators.

We invite you to join the growing online SCE community to follow, discuss and engage with our project as well as wide-ranging topics related to CPD and SCE.

Upcoming Services: E-learning training coming up in November 2017

On the 23rd and 24th  November 2017 the EPODS team will be carrying out a training event, teaching educators how to use our selected E-Learning Creation Tool: Moodle. We will offer a customized Moodle tool, integrated with our web platform at secondchanceeducation.eu , and ensure that teachers gain the skills to use it independently and can share the knowledge back in their own institutions.

The training will take place in Heerlen, Netherlands. If you are in the region and would like to participate, don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Chris Janssen or Ms. Katrine Bengtsson.
