Is it possible to foster the integration of migrant inside local communities through the storytelling?

Storytelling is an useful tool to learn how to communicate, to get to know each other and to express yourself.

Piloting on storytelling in Palermo

In Palermo, the piloting has been implemented with a mixed group of Italian and migrant youngsters. Through non formal activities and storytelling activities (that will be available in Italian, English, German, Greek and Swedish) all participants have created and told their story. They will have the chance to share their stories through a web radio station if they wish.

Afterward, each partner will write a national report summarising the activities and results of the piloting projects that will be compiled in an overall European report. Moreover, professionals and volunteers interested in applying such methods, a list of recommendations and guidelines will be part of the national reports and the European report based on piloting’s results.

During the piloting, the participants have created stories. For those who agreed, their stories will be collected and published in Mixcloud that will be embedded on our LISTEN website.
