CESIE is looking for ten young people (between18-30 years old) willing to have a two weeks volunteering experience in France in Laguépie – Toulouse.
The two weeks volunteering starts the 27th February 2017 to 12th March 2017 and is organized by Citrus association.
The activities of the association are multiple, intense and bring people to mingle, work and sometimes live together. “Working together” is the philosophy that will unite the ten young people with other actors as the long term volunteers, employees in insertion, permanent staff, voluntary on international projects, etc…
Citrus is located in a rural area of Southern France, with app. 800 inhabitants.
The main activities and projects developed in this rural area are:
- Heritage restoration
- Gardening
- Cooking
- European cultural events
- Promoting volunteering
- Entertainment from various local associations
- Developing a network of local producers
Volunteers activities
During their stay, volunteers will be working on the construction of a henhouse, on the site of Citrus. This site includes a big field, a collective kitchen, our office, and a farm that will be renovated within the upcoming years, this farm will become a big international hosting center.
They will take also care on an educational garden, where vegetables, plants, and fruits are produced in an organic way.
All working time will be made in collaboration with local and international volunteers and with a responsible person of Citrus.
A cooking mission will also be included in the working time, to prepare lunch for all Citrus workshops.
