CESIE attended with pleasure the second training seminar for academic staff, in the framework of the Tempus project “PICASA – Promoting Internationalization of HEIs in Eastern Neighborhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations” – organized by KHLeuven University from the 17th to 20th June in Leuven, Belgium.
The aim of this project is to promote the recognition of Eastern Neighboring Area HE systems – namely in Armenian, Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine – through fostering the international dimension of the HEIs on the institutional level and within their study programs.
The seminar provided an opportunity for HE institutions from Armenian, Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine to learn what are the elements of internationalization, how to integrate internationalization into teaching and research curriculum of the Universities, how to ensure quality of education with regards to internationalization, providing info on the strategic planning and policy frameworks. During the training, participants also have learned several best practices to overtake from EU partners and shared their own experience, concerns and fields of future intervention. The meeting concluded with a management session in order to plan the next steps and get an update on important project and financial management issues.
