CARMA: Join us at the International Conference on Collaborative Learning in Brussels!

On the occasion of World Teacher’s Day 2018, the final conference of the CARMA project will take place on 4^th and 5^th October in Brussels. The conference titled Collaborative Learning as a Road Towards Educational Success will bring together teachers, educational staff, policy makers and key stakeholders in school education from various European countries for a two-day interactive programme of active discussions and participatory sessions on a range of topics relating to collaborative learning in school and the results of CARMA.

The conference will provide interactive opportunities to discover the impact of CARMA in innovating the school environment by testing non-formal learning techniques in schools as a collaborative learning strategy. It will present the CARMA policy recommendations for integrating collaborative learning in school curriculum, that have been developed as a result of the impact we have seen among teachers and students that have participated in the project.

• Stijn Dhert – National UNESCO ASPnet coördinator for Flanders, assistant lecturer at KU Leuven, co-founder of ‘The Mystery of Education’ (Mysterie van Onderwijs), and experienced partner for educational reform and innovation policy
• Sofie Foets – multilingual social entrepreneur and founder of ToekomstATELIERdelAvenir (TADA Brussels).

5^th October 2018 | Educational Visits, Brussels
09:00 – 16:00

Educational visits will take place at GO! Atheneum Unesco Koekelberg and ART BASICS for CHILDREN – ABC House Brussels. These visits will provide participants the chance to meet with school leaders, teachers and students to explore and learn about the impact of implementing non-formal learning and collaborative practices in school. For these visits, places are very limited so booking early is strongly advised.

The final conference will provide a platform to disseminate your projects in the field of school education, as there will be plenty of opportunity for networking with teachers, educational staff, teacher-trainers, policy makers and key stakeholders in education from Belgium, Italy, Spain, Italy, Austria, Turkey, France and many more!

CARMA  – RMA and other non-formal learning methods for Student Motivation is co-funded by Erasmus+ KA3: Support for policy reform, Prospective Initiatives Forward-Looking Cooperation Project and addresses the promotion of “innovative, collaborative teaching and learning” within school education.
