The closing event of the training course on entrepreneurship of the project Arise – Appetite for Enterprise, will be held on 3 July, hosted by CREZI Plus, at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa.
The project, financed by the European Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), has given the opportunity to a group of proactive and motivated women coming from Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal and Chile, to follow an extensive learning and training path to realise their dream: becoming successful entrepreneurs here in Palermo, their city of adoption.
The workshops, which lasted from January until May, covered different important topics paramount to start-up a successful business: starting from the analysis of the transversal competences (the so called soft skills) to the acquisition of the technical competences: how can we create a business plan? How can we conduct a good market survey? Besides this, the study visits to successful migrant-led enterprises allowed the course participants to integrate the knowledge acquired throughout the course with the first hand precious advices from those who have already undergone the entrepreneurial adventure.
This event will allow room for exchanges between social workers, local authorities and employers on the specific learning needs for the inclusion in the labour market of the migrant population living in Palermo.
The migrant women who participated to the Arise project, and who will be the special guests of the event, will present, together with their business coach, the entrepreneurial ideas that they have developed during the training course. This will be for them a precious opportunity to collect inputs and advices from the audience.
Upon conclusion, a tasty aperitivo will be offered by CESIE, followed by the engaging live music performance of the Doudou Group to close the evening with music and happiness!
