Building quality initiatives on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). Become a member of the SexSense network and join our second SexSense Annual Event in Bruxelles.
From local initiatives to global platforms, SexSense is growing as a driving force for change by advocating for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). By upholding intersectional, inclusive, trauma-informed, and sex-positive approaches, the network is making efforts in building a world where all individuals have access to the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.
The past year has been transformative for our network:
- SexSense joined the WHO CC Expert Group on CSE, coordinated by the WHO Collaborating Centre for Sexual and Reproductive Health (BZgA). As part of this group, SexSense contributed to shaping Standards for Sexuality Education in Europe, sharing best practices and offering expert recommendations to ensure that CSE meets the needs of diverse populations.
- Our team took part in the ILGA World Conference in Cape Town, amplifying its mission through a global platform. Our team also got the chance to present a “Rainbow Talk,” (The World is a Kaleidoscope: The Role of Comprehensive Sexuality Education to Support LGBTQIA+ Youth) that highlighted the transformative power of a non-binary, intersectional, child-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based CSE in combating gender-based violence and promoting mental health among youth of diverse SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics).
- We presented SexSense at the October Global Partnership Forum meeting. The online event proved to be an outstanding opportunity to meet with experts and create new synergies with other networks, organizations and institutions.
SexSense is now thrilled to announce its Second Annual Event in 2025, celebrating a year of milestones and advancements in CSE. Open to the Active members of the SexSense network, the SexSense Annual Event & Assembly 2025 will be an opportunity to reflect on the year of the work of the network, build connections and capacities, co-create projects and share ideas among members. Specifically:
- share information about the state of art on CSE
- review the Bi-annual Strategy, the Activity Report 2024 and plan future Working Group activities
- network among old and new members
- inform about EU priorities and funding opportunities on the topic in 2025
- share project ideas and support proposals development
- strengthen our competencies by participating in capacity building workshops
