From Education to Rights: Preventing Gender-Based Violence Together with Support Networks
The 2nd Technical Roundtable on Preventing Violence in Adolescent Relationships and Promoting Well-being at School continues the process launched in June 2026 as part of a three-meeting series aimed at strengthening the prevention of gender-based violence and harmful relationship dynamics in school settings, while promoting the psychological and relational well-being of students.
This second meeting will focus on moving from reflection to action, through a participatory dialogue involving institutions, schools, local services, and Third Sector organisations. The discussion will focus on shared priorities and strategies for preventing gender-based violence, with particular attention to the role and responsibilities of institutions and to cooperation among the different actors within the local community.
This event is in collaboration with the Municipality of Palermo and includes the submission of a first draft of the Manifesto developed based on the contributions and reflections that emerged during the first Roundtable.

The process will continue with a further meeting scheduled for February 2027, aimed at finalising the recommendations and defining a shared commitment at the local level.
This initiative is part of the activities of the European project “BOTTOM-UP TALKS – Preventing teen-dating and school-related gender-based violence and promoting psychological well-being from the bottom-up”, funded by the European Commission’s CERV programme.
