On the 13th of December four interviews with educators within the project “Supporting Vocational Teachers and Trainers in E-Learning” were concluded. The overall objective of this project is to assist trainers and teachers in the field of vocational and educational training (VET) in the implementation of dynamic, open and innovative methods by means of using e-learning technologies.
In order to understand the national context of VET, we involved educators from the North and South of Italy, who have been interviewed about their previous experience and good practices in the field of e-learning. It needs to be emphasized that there is a key difference between educators from different parts of the country: teachers from the North are more experienced in the use of IT and e-learning tools in comparison with the educators from the South. At the same time, representatives from both parts of the country are very confident in traditional teaching methods, face-to-face with the students, not giving a lot of trust to the modern e-tools and its validity.
Shall it be the challenge for (e)VET2EDU? How soon Italy will be aligned with the desired European standards in this field?
We will keep you updated about the next steps of implementation of the project.
