Working in the field of European and International Cooperation: our internship opportunities

The internship represents a key training tool for those approaching the job market as it:

  • offers a training period to put into practice theoretical knowledge acquired in the study path;
  • contributes to orient the professional career by working closely with professionals from the field;
  • gives a real opportunity to practice so-called soft skills that are considered in today’s job market of equal importance as the hard skills.

An internship at CESIE allows to live a high-level professional experience for those willing to work in the field of European and International Cooperation. It will give the chance to work in an international and multicultural environment with professionals from all over the world.

Training and internship agreements are active with many universities and organisations from Italy, Europe and other countries of the world.

A minimum proficiency of B2 in both English and Italian (CEFR) is required to apply for our internship opportunities.

Internship opportunities

Design and management of European and International Cooperation projects

MThe internship includes the following type of activities:

  • Introduction and training on the main European and international cooperation programmes: Erasmus+ | Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund | Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme | Horizon Europe | Interreg NEXT MED | EuropeAid, and others.
  • Involvement in the implementation of transnational projects: research activities, development of training programmes and workshop activities for different target groups, participation in international meetings, creation of online educational resources, reporting, etc.
  • Project design and writing of project proposals: analysis of the funding programme and the specific call | development of the project idea | drafting of the project proposal | study of the formal aspects (eligibility requirements, documentation, etc.) related to project submission.

Interviews are expected to take place in January 2027, while the start of the internship is scheduled for March 2027.

Translation and Interpretation

The internship includes the following type of activities:

  • Written translation and proofreading of various type of text as manuals, articles, brochures, etc.
  • Consecutive interpreting: translation of a speech during a meeting, conferences or other public events
  • Classes of Italian language to foreign people and/or English classes

Visibility and communication

The internship includes the following type of activities:

  • Multimedia and cross-mediaproductionraster and vector graphics for logos, visual and other digital or paper-based products| Video shooting and editing
    Editorial production and desktop publishing: design and production of brochures, magazines and books in digital or printed version
  • Web communication: analysis, planning and management of communication campaigns on web platforms and social networks and on institutional or project websites.

Methodological approach

  • Development of an individual training plan, that it is periodically revised taking into consideration the professional growth of the intern
  • Promotion of active learning and of learning by doing, thus supporting participative and shared processes of knowledge and skill building
  • Implementation of the activities with the support of experienced staff, thus ensuring a constant guidance, monitoring and evaluation
  • Periodic meetings with the supervisor on the internship to check the progress of the training both considering fixed learning goals and expectations of the trainee
