Home Eventi - CESIE ETS School, social change and inclusion: explore SUSIEE methods at EU School 2025

Today more than ever, the school is called to become a space where diversity, sustainability and innovation are intertwined to build a fairer and more open society. Promoting inclusive practices from the earliest years of life means educating to respect, cooperation and global citizenship.

The SUSIEE project fits into this perspective, with the aim of providing resources for early childhood education and care (ECEC).

This year, SUSIEE is sponsoring the EU School 2025 event: Future scenarios for tomorrow’s schools, an annual event dedicated to those who live and transform the world of education every day.

If you are also part of the educational community and imagine a school able to meet the challenges of the today and generate social change through dialogue and co-design, join EU School 2025 for free:

Wednesday 12 November, 2025 | from 15:00 to 19:30

President Hotel Palermovia Francesco Crispi, 230 Palermo

Free event organised by CESIE ETS in collaboration with Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci ETS and LAND Impresa Sociale

Why participate

  • To enter into dialogue with teachers, educators, families and figures from the socio-cultural world to co-design the future of education.
  • To discuss the great global challenges that affect schools (including sustainability, innovation, inclusion) and the role they can play.
  • To collect and share ideas, tools and operational strategies that support change in educational contexts.
  • To participate in a free and open moment, in presence, which offers networking and food for thought for education and training professionals.

What will we discuss together?

  • What renewed objectives and methodologies must the school adopt to respond to the social, environmental and technological transformations of our times.
  • How the school can be a place of social transformation, inclusion and participation, not only the transmission of content but also the development of aware citizens.
  • What educational pathways, practices and models can be designed or relaunched to make education more effective, innovative and aligned with the needs of the future.
  • What are the opportunities for cross-sectoral cooperation, the new skills and professional networks that can emerge around the transformation of the school.

What’s New for the 2025 Edition

This year, EU School places the emphasis on themes crucial for the society and school of tomorrow: environmental sustainability, valuing cultural diversity, and building genuinely inclusive communities. The objective is twofold: to share validated resources and to create new, valuable connections among all the figures who work daily towards a fairer, more mindful, and more inclusive school.

Keynote Speech of Cecilia Bartoli and theatrical show with Anton Giulio Pandolfo

Cecilia Bartoli, a psychotherapist and founder of the APS Asinitas organisation, will be speaking at EU School 2025. She is also a trainer in intercultural education and active education methods, working with all educators involved in the field of migration.

The event will close with a moment of reflection and poetry, thanks to the theatrical performance The Man Who Planted Trees, based on the short story by Jean Giono. It will feature the voice of Anton Giulio Pandolfo as narrator, original music by Maurizio Curcio, and illustrations and animations by Marianna Giuliana.
