Within theGreen League project, a four-day free workshop will be held in January in Slovenia to discuss, reflect and learn about new methods to improve the link between sport and the environment.

The workshop will involve 6 sports professionals from Italy, Slovenia, Cyprus, Greece and Iceland in a collaborative and co-creative process aimed at developing a practical model – the Green League Model – which, based on experiential learning (learning by doing), will serve as a guide for the planning and implementation of environmentally sustainable sports events, thus promoting environmental awareness and education.

This model will then be used during the two and a half years of the project for the organisation and implementation of a series of sports events in nature that will combine outdoor physical activity with moments of reflection and environmental education, and a series of mini-tournaments and relay races that will combine group sports and environmental actions.

The sports professionals who will be involved will provide their professional expertise, not only for the development of the Green League Model, but also to guide and support amateur athletes and young people in the implementation of these events at local level.

If you are a sports professional living in Palermo, you care about environmental issues and speak english, apply and send your CV to Giulia Siino giulia.siino@cesie.org by 18th November to take part in the selection process.
