{"id":65178,"date":"2014-09-01T09:35:23","date_gmt":"2014-09-01T07:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?post_type=project&#038;p=65178"},"modified":"2025-05-08T13:03:18","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T11:03:18","slug":"fete","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/fete\/","title":{"rendered":"FETE \u2013 From Expats to Experts: United Civil Society through Inclusion and Empowerment of Young Immigrants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-objectives\">Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To provide young immigrants with skills relevant for the European labour market through workshops and internship opportunities, also build bridges between immigrants and local communities and therefore combating stereotypes surrounding immigration.<\/li><li>To deliver a mentorship programme and guide for mentors as a tool for better inclusion of first-generation immigrants.<\/li><li>To contribute to a common European inclusion strategy based on research findings and project implementation results to be published and disseminated in Europe.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-activities\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Research about a successful inclusion strategy and developing a strategy based on the research findings implemented and tested in Malta first and implementing the adopted strategy in Italy, France and Denmark.<\/li><li>Delivery of 7-day workshop training and 3 months small scale project implementation (Internships=Seeds) assisted and facilitated by the mentoring programme in Malta, Italy, France and Denmark.<\/li><li>Delivery of 5 day Youth Exchange in Malta, school workshops in each country and public debate in Copenhagen, Denmark.<\/li><li>Disseminating the strategy based on theoretical research and practical implementation in 4 European countries as well as the Guideline for mentors.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-results\">Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>60 FETE participants complete the internships by the end of 2015.<\/li><li>Inclusion strategy: best-practice model \u201cInclusion in Action: Step-by-Step Guide for Immigrant Youth Inclusion in Local Communities\u201c.<\/li><li>The online platform \u201c<em>Inter(n)changes<\/em>\u201d for young immigrants and local enterprises\/ NGOs.<\/li><li>Mentoring guidelines \u201c<em>Youth Empowerment through Mentoring: a Guide for Youth Workers<\/em>\u201d.<\/li><li>20 participants trained as&nbsp;<em>Youth Ambassadors for Diversity and Youth Empowerment.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-partners\">Partners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Coordinator: Crossing Borders (Denmark)<\/li><li>The People for Change Foundation (Malta)<\/li><li>CNAM \u2013 Pays de la Loire (France)<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Objectives To provide young immigrants with skills relevant for the European labour market through workshops and internship opportunities, also build bridges between immigrants and local communities and therefore combating stereotypes surrounding immigration.
