{"id":64899,"date":"2013-06-01T15:33:20","date_gmt":"2013-06-01T13:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?post_type=project&#038;p=64899"},"modified":"2025-05-08T10:52:38","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T08:52:38","slug":"pangea","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/pangea\/","title":{"rendered":"PANGEA \u2013 Volunteering for connecting Continents"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-objectives\">Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To improve the awareness of cultural differences and its values.<\/li><li>To contribute to the development of the youth of personal and professional skills.<\/li><li>To promote in all actors \u2013 host and sending communities and volunteers \u2013 the values of respect for difference and solidarity.<\/li><li>To facilitate capacity building in organisations and NGOs working in the field of sustainable community development in other partner countries in the world.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-activities\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Activities include collaborating with the local communities and local volunteers in non-formal education projects in local schools, developing awareness campaigns connected to nutrition and welfare, developing local, regional and international networking opportunities, facilitating micro-credit initiatives and intercultural dialogue.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-results\">Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sending two groups of five volunteers from France, Italy, Spain and Hungary will participate in community development projects in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/get-involved\/pangea-sve-cameroon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Cameroon<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/get-involved\/pangea-sve-nepal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Nepal<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/get-involved\/sve-zinguinchor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Senegal<\/a> for 6 months at a time.<\/li><li>Concurrently, a volunteer from Senegal,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/stories-and-testimonies-3\/video-mobile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Nepal<\/a>&nbsp;and Cameroon will be hosted by CESIE in Italy for 10 months.<\/li><li>Volunteers\u2019 testimonies (Cameroon):&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/in-action-4\/mobility-4\/piedi-rossi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Red feet, a mobility story<\/a><\/li><li>Volunteers\u2019 testimonies (Nepal):&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/stories-and-testimonies-3\/pangea-italiane-kathmandu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">EVS: from our volunteers in Kathmandu<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/dialogo-interculturale\/pangea-handbook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Pangea Handbook<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 The guide aims to provide suggestions and tips for all young people interested to live an international volunteering experience out of Europe.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-partners\">Partners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Coordinator: CESIE (Italy)<\/li><li>Pistes Solidarires (France)<\/li><li>Fekete Sereg (Hungary)<\/li><li>Pandora (Spain)<\/li><li>CCN \u2013 Campaign for Change Nepal (Nepal)<\/li><li>GNO FAR Jeunesse en action (Senegal)<\/li><li>CAPEC Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child (Cameroon)<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Objectives To improve the awareness of cultural differences and its values.
