{"id":64830,"date":"2012-12-01T13:00:06","date_gmt":"2012-12-01T11:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?post_type=project&#038;p=64830"},"modified":"2025-05-08T14:22:17","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T12:22:17","slug":"tandem-now","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/tandem-now\/","title":{"rendered":"TANDEM NOW \u2013 Mentoring and Vocational Assistance for Migrant Youth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-objectives\">Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To create role models for migrant youth or youth from ethnic minorities throughout the vocational career, using experience and results of the initial&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.migration.cc\/index.php\/projekte2\/abgeschlossene-projekte\/tandem-now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Tandem project.<\/a><\/li><li>To contribute to the effective training of mentors by understanding the needs of young people and local contexts.<\/li><li>To develop \u2018blended mentoring\u2019 (a mix of face-to-face and online activities) enabling mentoring to be easily integrated into career counselling.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Needs analysis to understand young people\u2019s needs and how mentors can respond.<\/li><li>Research of mentoring concepts in each country.<\/li><li>Creation of \u201cblended mentoring\u201d curriculum and training of mentors.<\/li><li>Testing the developed curriculum and application of Blended Mentoring.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/digital-library-3\/tandem-now-need-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Needs analysis<\/a>: it outlines the different cultural norms and values in each ethnic group providing a framework of what is happening in these specific communities, highlighting the challenges and problems of migrants and ethnic minorities.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/digital-library-3\/tandem-now-curriculum-mentori\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">TANDEM NOW \u2013 Curriculum for Mentors\u2019 training<\/a>. The Curriculum for TANDEM NOW training of Mentors consists of the Concept and structure of the training course &amp; Required materials and recommended online tools tested within the \u201cBlended-Mentoring-Package\u201d.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/digital-library-3\/tn-rivista\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Project Magazine<\/a>. You will find out about the project TANDEM NOW; a mentoring programme that pairs young people from ethnic minorities or migrant backgrounds with a role model from their own community. The Magazine presents the TANDEM NOW project and the rationale for setting up such a project. The mentoring programme will be outlined and explained in detail and then it will highlight the successful outcomes of the project.
