young men who are underachieving at school;<\/li><li>To assist in reducing Early School Leaving amongst boys and young men;<\/li><li>To support the engagement of HEIs with local communities and further integrate with local education and informal youth and community education schemes;<\/li><li>To provide a foundation for further work with boys and young men and complement existing academic work among HEIs partners.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-activities\">Activities:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Development of a <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/SSaMs-Report-on-the-Student-Stakeholder-Questionnaire-v2.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Needs analysis on gendered mentoring and work on ESL addressed to HEIs offering degrees within Faculties of Sport and Exercise<\/a>;<\/li><li>Elaboration, piloting and evaluation of gender specific <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/sssams-learning-materials\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">SSaMs Learning Material<\/a> to inform sport students how to mentor young men and provide gender sensitive support on ESL;<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/ssams-train-the-trainer-materials\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Creation of the SSaMs Train the Trainer materials<\/a>;<\/li><li>Development of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/ssams-dissemination-report\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">SSaMs Project and Pilot Evaluation Report<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-results\">Results:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increased skills and knowledge (and employability) of undergraduate sport students trained in gender-sensitive mentoring;<\/li><li>Increased understanding of ESL and practical, gender sensitive mentoring work with boys and young men and new training resources to teach sports students made available;<\/li><li>Strengthen the link between the project HEI\/NGO with local organisations, schools and the local community in each country;<\/li><li>Increased awareness of national and international HEIs, stakeholders, policy makers of SSaMs aims and potential in assisting in reducing rates of ESL.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2
