Growth.<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Context<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the past years, the Government of Lao PDR has given the importance to sustainable development to ensure that socio-economic and environmental development are carried out simultaneously, but the scientific and technological research system is still developing and faces many structural limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project was designed to support the modernization of the research management structures, strengthen researchers\u2019 and support staff\u2019s competences, and promote coordinated institutional and policy-level reforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Empowering researchers with relevant training, skill sets, innovative resources and supporting services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modernizing research management units and strategies in Lao HEIs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing a policy framework to foster research career development paths in areas related to Green Growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analysis and benchmarking of existing research management practices in public universities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training and study visits to strengthen research skills and research support capacities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting universities in improving how research support offices and services operate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing digital tools and online learning materials to support research and collaboration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating spaces for collaboration and dialogue among researchers, universities and national authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Benchmarking report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report \u201cGuidelines and recommendations for the modernization of RMUs at Lao HEIs\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National Research Hub (NRH) management and users\u2019 manuals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>White paper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strengthened skills of researchers and university staff, with over 200 participants improving their research and research support capacities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased awareness of the value of research for national development, among universities and policymakers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved collaboration across public universities, leading to stronger professional networks and early joint initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced institutional
