Meanwhile another major challenge, climate change, remains of highest priority today, with one of the most important causes being our consumer habits. Industries of fashion contributes up to 10% of global CO2 emissions, making it the second most polluting industry in the world, consuming 1.5 trillion litres of water annually, producing wastewater containing toxic substances and causing 20% of global clean water pollution. At the same time, to tackle fashion-industry\u2019s ecological impact, governments are urging for more sustainable practices and more education initiatives towards changing of mindsets. RfG project will work on the 4Rs (Reducing, Reusing, Recycling and Rethinking) idea, with a double focus: addressing fashion over-consumption but also stereotypes created from the fashion industry, to empower teenagers\u2019 well-being.
