Although the restrictions imposed at the European level in response to the coronavirus pandemic hampered the smooth collaboration between the five partner organisations of the MEW project<\/a><\/strong>, the many resources originally foreseen have been successfully developed during the implementation phase and are now freely available on the interactive platform<\/a><\/strong> created for easy reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MEW project aims to support adult individuals in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competences that enable them to take better care of their mental and emotional well-being<\/strong>. To this end, the resources developed have the threefold objective of illustrating how mental health affects different aspects of daily life, explaining how unpleasant events can manifest themselves even after some time in the form of psychological distress, and showing possible corrective actions to be taken in order to positively affect the quality of our life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On these assumptions, it was decided to create interactive and complementary resources<\/strong> that would address five specific topics identified as fundamental to promoting psychological and emotional well-being in a comprehensive manner. These areas are: Communication<\/strong>; Problem Solving & Decision Making<\/strong>; People & Environment<\/strong>; Relaxation Techniques<\/strong>; Confidence & Assertiveness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For each thematic area, an in-depth research<\/strong> has been carried out, defining its characterising elements and dynamics and contributing to simplify the assimilation of complex scientific notions. This research is complemented by a collection of videos and good practices<\/strong> concretely illustrating how ordinary people and professionals deal with these challenges on a daily basis. Finally, the partnership has designed and developed a board game<\/strong> that can be accessed and downloaded online in order to actively involve anyone interested in learning more about psychological wellbeing challenges and exploring how to manage them in everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official launch of the platform<\/strong> and its contents will take place on the 21st<\/sup> of July during an online event organised by the University of Gloucestershire and aimed at students and teachers of mental health subjects as well as civil society representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
