{"id":96242,"date":"2021-06-28T11:20:12","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T09:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=96242"},"modified":"2021-06-28T11:20:54","modified_gmt":"2021-06-28T09:20:54","slug":"nova-supporting-cultural-creative-sector-through-covid19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/news\/nova-supporting-cultural-creative-sector-through-covid19\/","title":{"rendered":"NOVA \u2013 Supporting the cultural and creative sector through COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the COVID-19 Pandemic the <strong>cultural and creative sectors<\/strong> (CCS) represented around 3.5% of all products and services made in the EU and employed 3% of the European workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the CCS are among the most severely impacted at this time. According to Eurostat, the COVID-19 crisis may affect about 7.3 million cultural and creative jobs across the EU. Despite the difficulties, CC sectors have shown tremendous <strong>solidarity<\/strong> amidst the crisis \u2013 offering their works for free online, easing feelings of isolation and contributing to the mental and emotional health and well-being of people in these challenging times. The crisis is testing the EU\u2019s citizens capacity to think and act in unconventional and innovative ways to respond to these unprecedented circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the aim of supporting the cultural and creative sector, the 2-year Erasmus+ <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/nova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">NOVA - Flipped studio \u201cSuccessful Innovator\u201d<\/a><\/strong> has just started. Six partners from Lithuania (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lpf.lt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">SIF<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.birstonokultura.lt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">BKC<\/a>), Cyprus (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csicy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">CSI<\/a>), Bulgaria (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.knowandcan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">K&amp;C<\/a>), Romania (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpip.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">CPIP<\/a>) and Italy (<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">CESIE<\/a>) will collaborate together &nbsp;over the next 2 years to achieve the NOVA project objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>to set up and provide access for <strong>upskilling pathways<\/strong> in the format of flipped studio \u201cSuccessful Innovator\u201d which sets out to enhance learners\u2019 skills development and competences that reinforce creativity and innovation in CCS;<\/li><li>to equip adult learners with the <strong>set of innovative solutions in CCS<\/strong> during COVID-19 to unveil opportunities that can be sought in a critical context and contribute to the resilience of the cultural and creative sectors;<\/li><li>to develop <strong>assessment tool<\/strong> to track the progress of adult learners to become successful innovators in CCS;<\/li><li>to support adult educators in effectively running the<strong> flipped studio \u201cSuccessful Innovator\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The components of the cultural and creative sector in which the NOVA project will focus on are: Music, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Audio-visual Arts, Games &amp; Multi-media, Design &amp; Fashion, Artistic crafts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NOVA project aims to answer the needs to stimulate European awareness of innovative solutions undertaken during the COVID-19 in CCS as well as to empower and train people to be successful innovators in this field. &nbsp;In order to achieve these objectives, the project will move its first steps developing a <strong>set of innovation solutions in CCS during COVID-19<\/strong>. It will consist of at least 20 good practices based on storytelling and e-directory selected by partners of the best innovation solutions in Europe which will be presented as micro-learning modules. Other products of the project will be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Creation of the training in the flipped studio \u201cSuccessful Innovator\u201d organised in modern educational environments, adapted to the pandemic situation and using 4 NOOCs (Nano Open Online Courses) for self-learning.<\/li><li>Release of the self-assessment test with at least 50 closed questions and visual learner\u2019s presentation \u201cWhat does innovation in CCS means to me?\u201d.<\/li><li>Publication of an E- Toolkit for Adult educators \u201cModern flipped studio \u2018Successful Innovator\u201d to support facilitators to run effectively the flipped studio.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through its products the project aims to address adult learners willing to develop their sense of innovation in order to get employed, become self-employed or volunteers in the CCS and to adult educators who could successfully run the flipped studio \u201cSuccessful Innovator\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our role in the project will be to conduct the <strong>quality assurance monitoring<\/strong> and lead all the evaluation activities in order make sure that the products developed and the activities implemented in the next 2 years by the partners are in line with the NOVA project\u2019s objectives.
