Recent adverse occurrences have shown the need to improve the international ability to prevent, prepare and respond to disasters. In every crisis, there is an opportunity for growth: what are the new opportunities hidden in the current COVID\u201019 crisis?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Erasmus+ project ReFace - Regions facing shocks: building resilient community<\/strong><\/a> aims to support key regional players from various sectors and subject fields in gaining and\/or enhancing transversal competencies<\/strong> and the relevant up to date knowledge to build, further develop and maintain resilient regions and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To this aim, project partners conducted a research about their countries\u2019 economic, societal, health, environmental developments and related policies for crisis prevention and management<\/strong>. Partners analysed regional and national policy documents in the field of regional resilience to evaluate their countries\u2019 competences and specific knowledge. Questionnaire surveys and semi-structured interviews added the opinion of public administrations and NGOs and other relevant stakeholders about their specific training needs<\/strong>. The research provided fundamental insights from four European countries (Slovakia, Italy, France, Spain), which will be used as the main input to design the MOOC \u201cRegions facing shocks: building resilient community\u201d<\/strong> and for the Road map \u201cSupporting a Resilient Region \u2013 a tool for the Sustainable Communities\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Would you like to learn more?
