The GEM IN<\/a><\/strong> project aims to promote intercultural education through the development of a board game<\/strong> and to disseminate good practices by involving schools as well as institutional stakeholders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the proposed objectives, in fact, is the creation of a pedagogical resource which is supposed to be used in formal educational environments, in order to promote an education to open and inclusive citizenship<\/strong>, based on a non-formal pedagogical approach<\/strong> which stimulates exchange, discussion and collaborative learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the international workshop, which led to the development and creation of the pedagogical kit, consisting of boardgame and digital archive, in recent months has started the search for institutes interested in collaboration to start the implementation phase of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 31, in order to coordinate and organize the activities, a meeting was held with the group of teachers of the \"La fata\" Institute in Partinico<\/strong>, who will start piloting the project. Here, the explanation of the evolution and objectives of GEM IN has taken on particular importance, such as the support of intercultural education<\/strong> within schools, the promotion of European values<\/strong>, the acquisition of social skills<\/strong> and the promotion of education for active citizenship through intercultural dialogue<\/strong>. The meeting was focused as well on the need to develop creativity and critical skills<\/strong> as a pedagogical goal of the game and the idea that a non-formal method can be considered complementary to a more traditional teaching method. The teachers enthusiastically joined the initiative and activities in the classrooms will be launched in the coming weeks. Students will experience the game and, through their contributions, will allow further development of good practices. Once the implementation phase will be over, the subsequent steps will focus on the dissemination of the project results and on the development, through these, of long-term policies at local, national and European level. In this way, the greatest possible impact will be guaranteed to the project, both at an educational and political level.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GEM IN \u2013 Game to EMbrace INtercultural education<\/a> is a 24 months project cofunded by ERASMUS+ KA3, Support for Policy Reform, Social inclusion through education, training and youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
