The CRETHINK project pursues the objective of developing the capacities of public sector workers and civil society actors through methods and tools preparatory to co-creation and cross-sectoral cooperation, in order to design and implement environmental initiatives aimed at responding to the challenges European urban contexts are facing today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project has already developed an online platform and a toolbox to facilitate the participatory process at the local and European levels, while partners from Denmark, Iceland, Slovenia and Italy are currently planning the operations for their local projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Palermo, CESIE and a group of citizens representing different sectors of the society have decided to focus on the issue of sustainable mobility and have started to plan the various stages of implementation. The aim is to ensure and promote safe and sustainable forms of mobility among students and the school population in response to the emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which has drastically changed the way citizens move around the city, significantly hindering most urban activities, limiting travel over large, medium and short distances and reducing the number and intensity of social relations.
