Enhancing the development of cooperation mechanisms between the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and the public administration to improve the social services for vulnerable groups in order to increase their opportunities of socio-labour inclusion.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is our main aim in MoreThanAJob! A 3-year path in which SSE actors and representatives of the public administration will receive target training and will be invited to work together in the co-design, development and implementation of services <\/strong>to foster the social and labour inclusion of vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To achieve the most out of this path, we consider crucial to involve these actors since the beginning of this process by creating moments of encounter and discussion to share their experiences of cooperation and their needs to improve the mechanisms behind of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At local level, the starting phase has been represented by a design meeting held in Palermo (Italy) on the 20th<\/sup> of February<\/strong>, where representatives of the Social and Solidarity Economy met to share their best practices of cooperation with the public administration for the delivery of social services to foster the social and labour inclusion of vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Social and Solidarity Economy is?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The term Social and Solidarity Economy is increasingly being used to refer to a broad range of organisations that are distinguished from conventional economy actors by two core features: they have\u00a0explicit economic and social objectives<\/strong>\u00a0and they involve\u00a0varying forms of co-operative, associative and solidarity relations.\u00a0<\/strong>If you would like to know more about this topic, you might find interesting this\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0from the International Labour Organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s next?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As defined during the kick-off meeting of the project held in Amman (Jordan) on the 26th<\/sup> and the 27th<\/sup> of November 2019, the success elements and the weaknesses of these cooperation experiences collected during the local design meetings will contribute to the development of the MoreThanAJob framework<\/strong>, a model for the development of innovative social schemes based on the cooperation between SSE actors and public administrations. The framework will be showed and explained during dedicated training activities with SSE actors and representatives of the public administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, it is under development the MoreThanAJob portal<\/strong>, an online connecting space to foster communication between the actors involved in this path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About a project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MoreThanAJob \u2013 Reinforcing social and solidarity economy for the unemployed, uneducated and refugees<\/a>\u00a0is a project funded by the European Union under ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme with a budget of \u20ac2 million, out of which \u20ac1.8 million as EU contribution and 10% as co-financing. The project started on September 4th<\/sup>, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
