After the 1\u00b0 FRIENDS free seminar, schools coming from all over Europe, had the opportunity to get in touch during the 2\u00b0 FRIENDS face-to-face dissemination meeting held in Lisbon on 9th<\/sup> May<\/strong>. The FRIENDS partners, schools and other institutions taking part to the project and other ones not involved attended to the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purposes of this 2\u00b0 face-to-face international event within the FRIENDS project were to present the direct experiences of teachers and students who recently started to practice Transcendental Meditation through the Quiet Time programme in the 4 partners countries and then to have a panel discussion during which potentially interested stakeholders wishing to know more on the QT\/TM in schools got additional information regarding this innovative technique. The ultimate scope of this meeting is to create in each country part of the project, strong local communities that can share experiences and best practices inside the FRIENDS project\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A panel discussion allowed 4 groups composed by students and teachers to present their results and impact of this novelty approach. There were schools implementing the FRIENDS project from Portugal, Italy, UK and Belgium and this was also a unique moment during which students shared videos presenting their creative works realized with their fellows aimed to free their sense of initiative and talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FRIENDS main channels of communication in order to establisher bigger online communities were presented to the participants, that could follow local learning communities with relevant FRIENDS project activities at national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schools and institutions interested in the FRIENDS project had the chance to take a closer look into the FRIENDS project implementation, receiving updates on next events and activities and receiving information on how to join the project and how to be involved in the project next steps! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Lisbon, a bigger FRIENDS community was born to join the Quiet Time\/TM programme and improving school environments and students\u2019 lives!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
