We are in the final phase of the project\u00a0BYMBE - Bringing Young Mothers Back to Education<\/a>, aimed at motivating and supporting\u00a0young NEET mothers<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0re-enter education and training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project partners met for the last meeting in Innsbruck on 11 and 12 July 2019 to discuss the results of piloting activities for young mothers in Austria, Bulgaria, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania and Spain and to finalize the resources for counsellors, social workers and educators working with young mothers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The\u00a0Report on National Education and Support Services for Young mothers<\/a>\u00a0provides information on\u00a0education and childcare systems in the project partner countries<\/strong>. For those interested in having information on the situation in Italy, the\u00a0National Report<\/a>\u00a0developed by CESIE is available in our Digital Library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The\u00a0Handbook for Outreach Awareness & Motivation Strategies<\/a>\u00a0is aimed at anyone who wants to understand\u00a0how to build a motivational and awareness campaign<\/strong>. The Handbook also illustrates the activities of the\u00a0BYMBE campaign<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The\u00a0Set of Intervention Methods to Involve Young NEET Mothers<\/a>\u00a0presents the\u00a0main<\/strong>\u00a0approaches to supporting young mothers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The\u00a0BYMBE Orientation Pack<\/a>\u00a0contains\u00a0several guidance and training activities<\/strong>\u00a0designed to help young mothers\u00a0find their own educational and professional path<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The\u00a0BYMBE Empowerment Pack<\/a>\u00a0presents training activities focused on\u00a0self-awareness<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0understanding and managing emotions and attitudes<\/strong>\u00a0in interacting with people and the surrounding social context.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. The\u00a0BYMBE Support Pack<\/a>\u00a0deals with\u00a0situations and crisis that can demotivate young mothers<\/strong>\u00a0and generate doubts in them about returning to the educational path.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The final events of the project<\/strong> in the partner countries are already being organized. The final events are intended to present the work done by the BYMBE project but also to stimulate reflection and action on the dynamics and challenges faced by young mothers to remain or return to the educational and training path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In two years of the project it was realized that young and adult mothers in Italy have little support in resuming their studies<\/strong>, especially when the decision to leave the school is made or took place during secondary education of first and second degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Obtaining information, accessing home education during pregnancy and continuing secondary education as an adult is not easy, especially when young mothers lack support from families, social services and support agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    BYMBE \u2013 Bringing Young Mothers Back to Education<\/a>\u00a0is a project co-funded by the\u00a0Erasmus+ Programme \u2013 Key Action 2 \u2013 Strategic Partnerships for adult education<\/a>\u00a0aimed at developing\u00a0support\u00a0 measures\u00a0 for\u00a0 young\u00a0 mothers\u00a0 who\u00a0 are\u00a0 NEET\u00a0 (Not\u00a0 in\u00a0 Education,\u00a0 Employment\u00a0 or\u00a0 Training) for them to\u00a0 get\u00a0 back\u00a0 to\u00a0 education\u00a0 and\u00a0 training<\/strong>\u00a0and improve their chances in\u00a0entering the labour market.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
