{"id":69381,"date":"2019-11-20T13:37:56","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T12:37:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=69381"},"modified":"2025-09-03T15:37:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T13:37:14","slug":"ag4c-sport-young-offenders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/news\/ag4c-sport-young-offenders\/","title":{"rendered":"AG4C: Sport, physical activity and socioemotional competences in young offenders"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How do we help&nbsp;<strong>young people in conflict with the law integrate back into society?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is there a way&nbsp;<strong>to improve their social, emotion and citizenship competencies in an engaging way?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The partners of ActiveGames4Change project have been working hard to come up with the best answers to these questions and to find the most engaging way of&nbsp;<strong>linking sports &amp; physical activity with social, emotional and citizenship competences development in young offenders.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this in mind, on the 17<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;and 18<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;October 2019, during the 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;partner meeting in historical Izmir, Turkey, partners of ActiveGames4Change met in what was a very fruitful meeting. Thanks to each partner\u2019s expertise and contribution, the design of the manual with games, physical activities and aims to be used in secure and community settings with young offenders were set in motion. Partners also decided on how the mobile app that will support the project will look like and adapt to each partner country restrictions; and have started planning the next steps to be taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What\u2019s coming next?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Partners will begin involving different secure settings where the implementation of the sport and physical activities will take place. The aim is to\u00a0<strong>empower educators and staff working with young offenders<\/strong>\u00a0in using the ActiveGames4Change method.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The preparations for the next meeting and\u00a0<strong>training of trainers in Romania\u00a0<\/strong>on May 2020 have started.
