How to reduce the gap between adults and younger people related to the use of ICT<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CESIE is working with organisations across France, Poland, Spain, Greece and Estonia in the development of a curriculum for digital competences in order to prepare social workers and operators in their work with elder people. The curriculum is to be an integral part of the  project DSC \u2013 Digital Senior Citizen<\/strong>,  which will help people aged 60+ enhance their digital competences through a personalised learning path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 24th<\/sup> May, the consortium met for the third time in a management meeting in Cala d\u2019Or (Spain) hosted by Centre for Education;. During the meeting, all partners reviewed the work done so far and assessed what needs to be improved and what are the next steps. In September, the consortium will meet again in Palermo for one week in which the curriculum that is being developed (composed by 6 modules all in relation of digital and IT skills for elders) will be tested with project staff for the future piloting trainings with social workers and operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All partners will finalise the curriculum and will begin to identify and reach their target groups: social workers and operators who works with elders and the elder people themselves. CESIE has organised an info-day with \u201cCasa Famiglia Missione Jesus\u201d on 28th<\/sup> June to meet trainers and operators as well as elder people and involve them in the project activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From September, the real implementation of the curriculum will begin, and trainers and social workers will be trained in the DSC methodologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DSC \u2013 Digital Senior Citizen<\/a> is a two years project co-funded by Erasmus+ programme, KA2 \u2013 Strategic Partnership for Adult Education<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
