{"id":56864,"date":"2019-03-28T11:58:19","date_gmt":"2019-03-28T10:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=56864"},"modified":"2025-09-04T14:43:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T12:43:45","slug":"match-inclusion-places-people-communities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/migration\/match-inclusion-places-people-communities\/","title":{"rendered":"MATCH: Path of inclusion among places, people and communities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe that&nbsp;<strong>sport can break down social barriers, facilitating mutual dialogue between different social actors<\/strong>, especially among&nbsp;<strong>young people<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the last months of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/match\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">MATCH<\/a>&nbsp;project, we conducted successfully.&nbsp;<strong>One of the activities that should be mentioned is the Anti-racist sport festival developed and implemented in each partner country aiming to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to develop the\u00a0<strong>knowledge and skills of the coaches<\/strong>\u00a0in how to create an anti-racist festival<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to promote the concept of\u00a0<em><strong>SPORT for ALL<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to contribute to the development of the\u00a0<strong>social inclusion of refugees, asylum seekers and disadvantaged youngsters<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to promote a common sense against racism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to promote volunteering and social solidarity in Sport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of each festival, we developed a video&nbsp;<strong>collecting all the experiences from each partner<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please have a look <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/p9Aa34EPJps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">here<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, on the 7<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;of March a&nbsp;<strong>Public Event<\/strong>&nbsp;has been organized in order to disseminate all the project results and activities. The Public Event of the project has taken place<strong>&nbsp;in Athens<\/strong>&nbsp;which has been characterized by two main moments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a\u00a0<strong>public conference<\/strong>\u00a0attended by stakeholders expert in the field of sport, education and social inclusion;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a Football tournament and award ceremony:\u00a0<strong><em>MATCH final football tournament!<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Conference has been a great occasion to talk about the project topic and impact reached in all the partner countries. Moreover, project results have been shared, giving importance to&nbsp;<strong>Pedagogical Manual<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Download&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/matchinclusion.eu\/manual\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">here<\/a>&nbsp;the Manual in each partner country\u2019s language!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"840\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-56978\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-1280x560.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-980x429.jpg 980w, https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-480x210.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) and (max-width: 1280px) 1280px, (min-width: 1281px) 1920px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the Conference it has been organized a Panel discussion based on&nbsp;<em><strong>Diversity &amp; Inclusivity: Creative Citizens of Europe<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Panel discussion has been conducted by different experts in the field such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Anastasios Maragiannis from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gre.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">University of Greenwich;<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Michalis Afolayan from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/anasaculturalcenter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">ANASA cultural center<\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aimilia Plati\u00a0\u00a0author of the children's book\u00a0<em>The Fairy tale with fairy tales<\/em>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Giovanni Barbieri, project manager from CESIE\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/units\/migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Migration<\/a>\u00a0Unit;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jean-Didier Totow president of the Congolese community in Athens and vice-president of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/refugees.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Greek Forum of Refugees<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second part of the Public Event has seen the participation of many people and football teams to the \u201cMATCH final football tournament!\u201d. During this event also a team \u201cborn\u201d in the MATCH framework and activities has participated. The team shared the values of inclusion, education and friendship. We truly believe that this is a great result achieved by the entire consortium and all the people and volunteers who have given support!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-bosnia.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-bulgaria.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-italia.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-olanda.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/match-inclusione-luoghi-persone-comunita-spagna.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, on March 23rd we organized the local event in Palermo called:&nbsp;<strong><em>MATCH for Ballar\u00f2: the art of inclusion<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event has begun with a\u00a0<strong>tour of the Ballar\u00f2 murals<\/strong>, starting from\u00a0<strong>San Benedetto il Moro<\/strong>\u00a0created by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/igor.s.palminteri\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Igor Scalisi Palminteri<\/a>\u00a0within the frame of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tour of the murals was led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/terradamarePA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Terradamare | Cooperativa Turistica a Palermo<\/a>\u00a0through a\u00a0<strong>walking tour<\/strong>\u00a0to discover the urban paintings created in the historic district within the project \"Postcards from Ballar\u00f2\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the walking tour an&nbsp;<strong>artistic workshop<\/strong>&nbsp;was set up coordinated by Igor at Santa Chiara. The laboratory had the purpose of creating a choral and&nbsp;<strong>participatory work by all and had as its theme the inclusion through art<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was attended by about<strong>&nbsp;70 people<\/strong>&nbsp;and the results of the project were shared with all the participants in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/match\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">MATCH \u2013 Enhance social inclusion and equal opportunities<\/a>&nbsp;is&nbsp;co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme, Collaborative Partnership in field of Sport and intends to foster an increased&nbsp;<strong>participation of refugees&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>local young people in sport activities<\/strong>&nbsp;and to create a constructive&nbsp;<strong>dialogue between
