Launching MyHandScraft"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Working together and&nbsp;<strong>sharing knowledge, techniques and skills<\/strong>&nbsp;is fundamental to&nbsp;<strong>enhance migrants` and refugees` integration<\/strong>&nbsp;and lead to cultural&nbsp;<strong>fusion and innovations in the field of handicrafts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Handicrafts is an innovative framework for skill-development<\/strong>&nbsp;and a platform for cultural and heritage exchange between migrants and local residents. Handicrafts incorporate&nbsp;<strong>traditions, heritage, culture, technical skills, talent and art<\/strong>, hence they provide a fertile framework for encouraging intercultural collaboration, learning and dialogue.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recently launched&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/myhandscraft\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">My HandScraft<\/a>&nbsp;project during the first partner meeting in Palermo (Italy) on&nbsp;<strong>4th and 5th February 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project focuses on the&nbsp;<strong>untapped potential of migrants<\/strong>, whose&nbsp;<strong>skills, talents and qualification remain unacknowledged.<\/strong>&nbsp;Through&nbsp;<strong>innovative training<\/strong>&nbsp;and valorizing&nbsp;<strong>artistic competencies and cultural heritage<\/strong>&nbsp;the project will&nbsp;<strong>upskill and reskill both migrant and local adults in the field of handicrafts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MyHandScraft key players are&nbsp;<strong><em>adult migrants<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>local handcrafters<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>adult educators<\/em><\/strong>. Handicrafts will be the medium for&nbsp;<strong>migrants and local artisans<\/strong>&nbsp;to collaborate and<strong>&nbsp;upskill their artisanal techniques, thus encouraging peer-learning and cultural exchange<\/strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Adult educators<\/strong>&nbsp;as well will benefit from&nbsp;<strong>innovative learning<\/strong>&nbsp;which will lead to the development of a&nbsp;<strong>training programme and methods for their future work with migrant communities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This will be done through the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Field study research and a State-of-the-Art report<\/strong>\u00a0on needs and skill shortages of migrants and local handcrafters;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design of a\u00a0<strong>collaborative e-learning platform<\/strong>\u00a0as an online management system;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of an\u00a0<strong>e-educational programme<\/strong>\u00a0to improve the basic skills and key competences of migrants in the handicraft field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of a handbook to support adult educators working with migrants &amp;
