How to ensure that your&nbsp;<strong>employees<\/strong>&nbsp;have all the necessary&nbsp;<strong>competences<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Success in tourism and hospitality business is strongly dependent on the&nbsp;<strong>quality of customer services<\/strong>&nbsp;provided by&nbsp;<strong>competent and motivated employees<\/strong>. However, training staff during the high season might be challenging even in the best teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SeasonREADY project intends to support the competitiveness of small and medium hospitality enterprises (SMHE) by providing them with a&nbsp;<strong>training programme<\/strong>&nbsp;dedicated to&nbsp;<strong>(1) employers, managers and in-house trainers<\/strong>&nbsp;and (<strong>2) seasonal employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Firstly, the&nbsp;<strong>SeasonREADY Guide<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>for employers&nbsp;<\/strong>explains&nbsp;<strong>how to plan and deliver a well-tailored work-based training programme<\/strong>&nbsp;to enhance&nbsp;<strong>professional competences and motivation of seasonal staff<\/strong>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secondly, the project offers&nbsp;<strong>a set of training materials<\/strong>&nbsp;designed to improve professional competences and motivation of seasonal staff in&nbsp;<strong>the field of<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Front office operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food and beverages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Housekeeping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the following&nbsp;<strong>key competences<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Customer Service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional and personal development of employees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the 14th of December 2018, CESIE and Confesercenti Palermo held an event where they presented the SeasonREADY project and its outputs to the representatives of Sicilian hospitality and tourism enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The presentation was carried out to outline the&nbsp;<strong>projects\u2019 objectives<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>emphasize the importance of on-the-job training for seasonal staff<\/strong>.
