Diaspora organisations operates as critical development entities and their engagement is important in the issue of migration.  Active members of diaspora organisations will be trained to promote their political demands and to raise their voice in political debates on local, European and international level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WANNE<\/a> aims to foster the engagement  of diaspora organisations and TCN communities providing opportunities of exchanges with local and European organisations for new political and communication processes on migration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a lot of associations in Palermo that are looking for collaborations or opportunities and youth migrants that launched an association or they want to open a new one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, the main goal was to create connections to exchange experiences and new ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with Arci Porco Rosso, we organized a one-day partnership fair<\/strong>. During the event many local associations had the opportunity to present own association and the activities that they are carrying out. Different stands were organised to inform participants on how to start an association, how to receive european foundings and on training opportunities for youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the associations that participated into the event can have the opportunity to register their association on\u00a0comide.net<\/a>, a database with information on NGO and diaspora organisations active in the field of Migration & Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the event an aperitivo and a concert were organised for sharing information and to know each other better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this event, a follow up seminar will be organised in order to discuss and to create new project ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
