{"id":54653,"date":"2018-11-19T12:48:32","date_gmt":"2018-11-19T11:48:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/news\/reform-reinforcing-educators-competences-for-counselling-and-motivation\/"},"modified":"2025-07-29T15:15:59","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T13:15:59","slug":"reform-reinforcing-educators-competences-for-counselling-and-motivation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/news\/reform-reinforcing-educators-competences-for-counselling-and-motivation\/","title":{"rendered":"REFORM: Reinforcing Educator&#8217;s Competences for Counselling and Motivation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How&nbsp;<strong>do we help teachers in career counselling in school?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How&nbsp;<strong>does counselling, given by teachers, help in motivating students to learn, to look for a job?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/reform\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">REFORM<\/a>&nbsp;project has officially started at the end of October with the main aims to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To collect learning and teaching methodologies in the sphere of career guidance at schools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To test, adapt and implement innovative practices that can provide skills professionals will need in their work as career advisors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To support students in choosing their future education or job so to reduce the number of early school leavers, youth unemployment or NEETs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>REFORM&nbsp;<\/strong>will&nbsp;develop a&nbsp;<strong>methodology for professional guidance<\/strong>, which provides teachers with tools and methods for their daily work within the classes. Moreover, the innovative activities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The implementation, through a series of tests and workshops, of innovative practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The organization of an international training course for educators as well as several events and activities for dissemination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The kick off meeting took place at the 119 Secondary School \"Academician Mihail Arnaudov\" (Sofia, Bulgaria) from&nbsp;<strong>22 to 23 October 2018<\/strong>. The project has been introduced by Rumyana Shalamanova, partner of the project and career counselling expert for Znam i Moga - Know and Can association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the kick off meeting, the partners expressed their intention to develop an integrated methodology for professional guidance in schools. This methodology will include a&nbsp;<strong>bag of tricks<\/strong>&nbsp;of advices on how to work with different target groups of pupils aged 12-14, 14-16, 16-18. The methodology will be elaborated in English and translated into 6 different languages.
