How to promote diversity in the educational environment<\/strong> and create social bonds among the people with and without disabilities<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final coordination meeting of the project ALdia \u2013 Accessible Learning design, implementation and accreditation<\/strong> was held in Alicante, Spain, on  November 13th. <\/sup>The meeting was hosted by the University of Alicante, coordinator of the project, with the participation of the project partners: University of Piraeus Research Center (Greece), CESIE (Italy), Fondo Formacion Euskadi (Spain) and Four Elements (Greece).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, all partners presented and shared the results and achievements obtained during the course of the entire project. ALdia, as showed by all partners, was a successful efforts of 5 organizations and institutions to promote accessible learning for all students, especially the one with physical disabilities. To do so an online platform (MOOC) was created for teachers, in order to introduce to them new methodologies, activities and approaches to make the disabled student life easier and the learning sessions more inclusive. Also, by the implementation of national roundtables and preparation of policy briefs, the consortium tried to raise awareness on the topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each partner reached good results at local, regional and national level by having many teachers and educators enrolled in the MOOC. The next step of the project will consist in the realization of a shared sustainability plan. This document will include all the information regarding stakeholders reached and the material and resources that the project will leave available even after the end. Of course, the main resource that the consortium will exploit as well as disseminate in the last phase of the project will be the online course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partners hope that, since it was well presented and piloted in the framework of the project, it will attract teachers and educators in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
