Victims of Crime in Italy continue to face difficulties in finding generic support services in the territory<\/strong>, even after the formal transposal of the EU Directive in the Italian legal order<\/strong>. Support services aimed at victims of crime focus on specific categories, therefore, they do not reach a wider spectrum of beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall slow pace of justice administration remains a basic problem and contributes to the secondary victimisation of victims<\/strong>. Finally, there seem to be problems of underfunding, which reasonably affect the quality and the range of the provided support services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the above results are confirmed by an in-depth analysis of the legal framework of the rights and protection of victims of crime and its implementation in Italy, as part of the\u00a0SupportVoc<\/a>\u00a0project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results of the analysis as well as the legal framework and effective application of the EU Directive 2012\/29\/EU (especially of Article 8) will be presented and discussed during the\u00a0Seminar\u00a0Support VoC, the generic services to support victims of crime. State of the art and perspectives<\/em><\/strong>, organized in collaboration with the\u00a0Municipality of Palermo<\/a>, Department of Solidarity Citizenship, at the former\u00a0Real Fonderia Oretea on November 23 starting from 3:30 p.m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il Seminario prevede, tra gli altri, gli interventi della dottoressa\u00a0Maria Pia Giuffrida<\/strong>,\u00a0Presidente Associazione Spond\u00e9 Onlus<\/a>\u00a0che parler\u00e0 del\u00a0modello Dafne<\/strong>\u00a0e dell\u2019importanza delle reti e della professoressa\u00a0Lucia Parlato<\/strong>\u00a0dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Palermo<\/a>\u00a0su un sistema di\u00a0\u201caccoglienza polivalente\u201d della vittima all'interno\u00a0del rito penale.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar includes, among others, the speeches of\u00a0Dr. Maria Pia Giuffrida<\/strong>, President of the\u00a0Spond\u00e9 Onlus Association<\/a>, who will talk about the\u00a0Dafne model<\/strong>\u00a0and the importance of networking prtocesses and Professor Lucia Parlato of the\u00a0University of Palermo<\/a>\u00a0on a\u00a0\"multi-purpose reception\" system victim within the penal procedure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
