Nowadays, technological development<\/strong>, professional specialization<\/strong> and huge competition for jobs between<\/strong> highly qualified graduates<\/strong>, frequently leads people to struggle finding employment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobility indicators<\/strong>, especially in the field of vocational education and training are low<\/strong> in Europe.  In 2015, Eurostat calculated that, in average 3,1% IVET learners (at ISCED level 3) travel for learning. By 2020, the goal of European Council is that at least 6% of all 18-34 year-olds with a VET background be granted a learning experience abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With our new project,\u00a0MobVET- Mobility for Vocational Education and Training<\/strong>\u00a0we aim to\u00a0make students<\/strong>\u00a0and teachers better equipped to work in international environments<\/strong>\u00a0both at home and abroad. Our main\u00a0focus<\/strong>\u00a0will be\u00a0on creating functional and sustainable strategic<\/strong>\u00a0partnership in order to facilitate the internationalization of VET programs.

On the\u00a025th<\/sup>-26th<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0of October 2018<\/strong>, the\u00a0kick-off meeting<\/strong>\u00a0took place in\u00a0Palermo, Italy<\/strong>.
During the meeting, partners had the chance to get to know each other and agree on common and best practices which will help to better implement the project.
Partners had also the change for\u00a0a study visit<\/strong>\u00a0to a regional VET school,\u00a0Instituto Istruzione Superiore, Vincenzo Ragusa e Otoma Kiyohara- Filippo Parlatore<\/a><\/strong>, in Palermo.
During our visit, and thanks to the staff\u2019s guidance partners had\u00a0the chance to see the differences and similarities between VET schools across Europe<\/strong>. While visiting many departments of the school, like the architectural department, the painting department or the technology department, we\u00a0got familiar with<\/strong>\u00a0how a local VET school functions<\/strong>, which are the main activities it emphasises to, witness students in action, and admire many of students\u2019 past creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During 24 months<\/strong>, we will be involved in the following activities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
