The European project REST \u2013 Refugees Employment Support and Training -<\/strong> intends to support efficient integration of refugees and migrants in labour market<\/strong> and offer a comprehensive training to enhance employers\u2019 competences<\/strong> and willingness to hire and integrate people with migration background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past months, the project partners piloted the REST<\/strong> training courses <\/strong>in six European countries covering legal and administrative aspects<\/strong> of refugees\u2019 and migrants\u2019 employment, strategies to support their inclusion in the workplace<\/strong> and management of international work teams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the 23rd<\/sup> of October<\/strong>, the partners met in Palermo for their fifth meeting and the final REST conference<\/strong>. The event was dedicated to social and occupational dimension of refugees\u2019 and migrants\u2019 integration<\/strong> where we presented the REST project and its results to over 50 attenders. We shared some real-life success stories<\/strong> of refugees\u2019 and migrants\u2019 integration and discussed good practices<\/strong> from different countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the final ceremonial, we awarded the\u00a0REST Label<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to recognise the efforts of local enterprises that has committed to the inclusion of refugees or people with migration background and that promote diversity and an inclusive working climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awarded enterprises were\u00a0Sartoria Sociale<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Moltivolti<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0whose success story is documented in a short\u00a0video<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
