What could be done by teachers, school principals and students to make lessons more interesting and engaging?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This question was asked to students of the International school (ISP) in Palermo during the CARMA<\/strong><\/a> second<\/strong> Educational Forum <\/strong>on 23rd<\/sup> May 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through engaging activities, a group of students, teachers and stakeholders shared the meaning of their names, reflected on their emotions related to this school year<\/strong> and released their creativity during the storytelling activity<\/strong> \u201cI know what you have in your pocket\u201d. Moreover, they learnt about the CARMA project<\/a>, its results and impact, and tested out some of the tools that we developed during the last 2 years of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In response to the question asked by Ruta, CESIE\u2019s NFL Expert for CARMA, about what could be done to make lessons more interesting and engaging<\/strong> they all univocally agreed: more interaction, more experiments and more collaboration<\/strong> is needed!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The results from the Forum highlighted even more the necessity for teachers to know their students as learners<\/strong> and to foster new methods of learning that can better empower, motivate and engage each student in the classroom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So when thinking about what is crucial to building good classroom practices<\/strong>, why don\u2019t we listen to the future generation<\/strong> and make them part of the conversation<\/strong> on how we can support schools to meet the challenge of providing both inclusive and effective education<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n CARMA \u2013 RMA and other non-formal learning methods for Student Motivation<\/a> is co-funded by Erasmus+ KA3: Support for policy reform<\/strong>, Prospective Initiatives Forward-Looking Cooperation Project and addresses the promotion of \u201cinnovative, collaborative teaching and learning\u201d within school education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CARMA partners are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Follow the project on\u00a0Facebook<\/a>\u00a0or visit\u00a0carma-project-eu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAbout the project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
