Social workers, youth workers, community leaders, students, volunteers and artists: people who have been working for years and others who are just starting, Palermitans and foreigners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the six days of\u00a0In&Out training course<\/a>, a total of\u00a023 youth workers who work with young migrants<\/strong>\u00a0have been able to\u00a0exchange experiences and good practices<\/strong>, reflect on\u00a0new methods and benefit<\/strong>\u00a0from the points of view of people working at different levels and in different parts of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every day the training was led by one of the\u00a0In&Out<\/a>\u00a0partners that made us experience their\u00a0methodology<\/strong>\u00a0while\u00a0receiving feedback<\/strong>\u00a0from<\/strong>\u00a0the<\/strong>\u00a0other<\/strong>\u00a0professionals<\/strong>\u00a0on the strengths and points to be improved for the proposed activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly\u00a0ADILES<\/a>, the coordinators of Guadeloupe,\u00a0introduced us to each other, helped us to break the ice and create a more cohesive group<\/strong>\u00a0through their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further on, during a workshop led by Amico Dolci<\/strong>, we as CESIE<\/strong> experimented with the Reciprocal Maieutic<\/strong>, and other non-formal education activities<\/strong> to reflect on cultural diversity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bee.com<\/a>\u00a0partners from Florence made us deepen our\u00a0cultural footprints<\/strong>\u00a0through\u00a0photography<\/strong>, and these are some of the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day we\u00a0expressed ourselves through the body<\/strong>\u00a0with the dance session by\u00a0Dansare Utan Granser<\/a>\u00a0(Dancers Without Borders), a Swedish organization that uses\u00a0dance<\/strong>\u00a0and movement as a method of inclusion for young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally we got introduced the project Spanish partners\u00a0Jarit<\/a>\u00a0has been on from 10 years:\u00a0Russafa Cultura Viva<\/a>\u00a0project (Valencia) celebrates the Russafa district using\u00a0balconies and squares as stages for artistic interventions with a social background<\/strong>, and we too had the chance to think about and make our little piece of art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training ended with the\u00a0multiplier event in Santa Chiara<\/a>, where we presented the In&Out project and even made dance all the visitors!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, we had the chance to enjoy the artistic performances and stories of the participants in the\u00a0Ragazzi Harraga<\/a>\u00a0project, the presentation of the newborn association of Senegalese youths\u00a0Niofar<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0the music of Bakku ndal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To conclude the week, all partners came together to reflect on how all the methodologies we have learned and tested can be used and adapted to our local contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without any doubt, the week from 19 to 25 March 2018<\/strong> was very important for the In & Out project: intense, enriching and very educational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the coming months we will continue to develop the virtual platform and work on the contents of the toolkits<\/strong> that each organization will design to present their methodologies<\/strong>, which will then be tested in all partner countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next meeting of the partners will be held\u00a0in October 2018<\/strong>, hosted by\u00a0DUG<\/a>\u00a0in Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In & Out - Boosting youth and migrant integration through cultural and volunteering activities<\/a> is co-funded by the Erasmus + program, Key Action 2 - Strategic partnerships in the youth field<\/strong> and aims at creating a network of cooperation and exchange of good practices between youth workers in Europe and those working in the Caribbean<\/strong>, bringing together faraway territories, through art in various forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
