To guarantee <strong>equal work opportunities<\/strong> for all within these processes, employers need practical <strong>tools to support labour inclusion<\/strong> of candidates and employees from diverse cultural backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/cesie.org_description_REST.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">REST project<\/a> offers such a tool in the form of a <strong>comprehensive training programme<\/strong> dedicated to employers who wish to enhance their competencies when it comes to <strong>employing and interacting with refugees and migrants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme was developed to meet the <strong>employers\u2019 training needs and preferences<\/strong> considering <strong>the benefits <\/strong>of employing refugees <strong>for<\/strong> <strong>enterprises<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the REST training, employers will improve their knowledge about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>legal and administrative aspects<\/strong> of refugees\u2019 and migrants\u2019 employment including internship programmes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>new strategies to <strong>support newcomers\u2019 integration <\/strong>at the workplace;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>methods enhancing <strong>human resources management<\/strong> and <strong>supporting positive dynamics<\/strong> within international work teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The REST training<\/strong> focusing on <strong>six topics<\/strong> identified by the <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/rest-transnational-research-report\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">European research<\/a> will be delivered in May and June 2018:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Legal and administrative issues, <strong>7\u00a0May<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Recruitment and selection, <strong>24\u00a0<\/strong><strong>May<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Induction and on-boarding, <strong>24\u00a0May<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mentoring, <strong>12 June<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Intercultural aspects, <strong>19\u00a0June<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Communication in national language, <strong>22\u00a0<\/strong><strong>June<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<p>[su_note note_color=\"#ffffff\" radius=\"10\"]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Legal and administrative issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Firstly, REST offers to employers training on <strong>legal measures<\/strong> <strong>regulating refugees\u2019 employment<\/strong> and related <strong>administrative procedures<\/strong>. This training will be organised in a form of <strong>round table discussion with expert<\/strong> on Italian labour law and legislation concerning refugees and asylum-seeker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Recruitment and selection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second training module is dedicated to <strong>identification<\/strong>, <strong>recruitment<\/strong> and <strong>selection<\/strong> of employees or trainees from refugees. Here the learners will be introduced to the specifics of refugees\u2019 recruitment and will be guided through the process of searching, screening and interviewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Induction and on-boarding<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the chronological framework, the third module is focused on <strong>induction<\/strong> and <strong>on-boarding<\/strong> process. This module will help employers with refugees\u2019 integration in the company culture and <strong>managing and motivating<\/strong> their employees with different cultural background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4.&nbsp;Mentoring<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The forth module deals with mentoring which is considered an important and useful approach in refugees\u2019 integration to workplace. This module explains what <strong>mentoring<\/strong> is, what mentor does and does not, what <strong>mentorship relationship<\/strong> is and how to manage it taking into account specific challenges when <strong>mentoring refugees<\/strong>. Furthermore, the module includes a toolbox of elements of successful mentorship and recommendations for <strong>appraisal interviews<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Intercultural aspects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The intercultural aspects of refugees\u2019 integration are treated in the fifth module. It starts with <strong>intercultural<\/strong> <strong>awareness<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>communication<\/strong> continuing with topics such as <strong>diversity management <\/strong>including different <strong>religions<\/strong> and <strong>traditions<\/strong> at workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6. Communication in national language<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, REST offers a unique tool to <strong>\u201ceasy language\u201d <\/strong>which teaches how to use one\u2019s own mother tongue in a way that it is clear and easily understandable for somebody whose skill in this language is only intermediate.
