It involved young Italians and migrants living in Palermo, held at CESIE, and aimed at <strong>enhancing participation in active citizenship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the project activities the participants, natives and migrants, shared and exchanges experiences, ideas and values on citizenship.<\/p>\n<p>They had the chance to deal with different topics, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>European culture and geography<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li><strong>job orientation, the importance of the soft skills<\/strong>, considered as much important as the hard skills,<\/li>\n<li>the role of <strong>active citizen<\/strong> at a local and a European level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through the dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and comparison of experiences, the participants learned how to <strong>give a positive contribution to the territory<\/strong> they live in and how to<strong> get involved actively in their own community<\/strong>. They are now aware of their own skills and competences and know how to use them in their personal and <strong>professional development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In these meetings through <strong>job interview simulation<\/strong> and <strong>CV writing<\/strong>, the participants could experience the challenges and the needs of the external world and so could prepare themselves to face them.<\/p>\n<p>Despite their young age and the multiple difficulties many of them had to face during the hard migration process they went through, their <strong>enthusiasm<\/strong>, their <strong>desire of knowledge<\/strong> and of <strong>interaction with the environment<\/strong> they live in and the will to grow up in a heterogeneous\u00a0group represent the best incentive and boost of this project.<\/p>\n<p>These project activities come from the belief that the <strong>mutual exchange of experiences<\/strong>, the <strong>dialogue among different cultures<\/strong> and a better knowledge of the territory we live in, bring us to a <strong>deeper awareness<\/strong> of our role in the community, our ourselves and <strong>of our rights and duties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/project\/gpce\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">I Giovani Parlano con l\u2019Europa<\/a> <strong>is co-funded by\u00a0<\/strong>\u201c<em>Giovani per il Sociale<\/em>\u201d, an initiative promoted by the Department of Youth and National Civic Service \u2013 Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Italy).<\/p>\n<p>The projectaims at <strong>promoting the dialogue among cultures and the social inclusion of young people<\/strong> considered an important instrument to promote the European citizenship and at spreading the opportunities and initiatives offered by the European Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The project involves three partners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.csfpalermo.org\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Cooperazione Senza Frontiere<\/a>(coordinatore);<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.engiminternazionale.org\/ong\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">ENGIM internazionale<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>CESIE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For further information concerning the workshops, please contact\u00a0Annaclaire Turco &#8211;<a href=\"mailto:annaclaire.turco@cesie.org\">annaclaire.turco@cesie.org<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 091 6164224.<\/p>\n<p>For further information about the project, please contact Tiziana Giordano &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:tiziana.giordano@cesie.org\">tiziana.giordano@cesie.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I Giovani Parlano con l\u2019Europa second cycle of intercultural meetings aimed at enhancing participation in active citizenship has just ended, but we are ready for the 3rd!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":12,"featured_media":59564,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[27065],"tags":[],"unita":[],"class_list":["post-53852","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-youth"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO Pro 4.9.9 -
