people<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>How to <strong>support educators<\/strong> in dealing with current challenges as the rise in antisemitism, racism, xenophobia and radicalisation?<\/p>\n<p>The kick-off meeting of project<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/project\/rethink\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"> RETHINK &#8211; Remembrance Education for THINKing critically<\/a> took place in S\u00e8vres (France) from <strong>29 to 30 January<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims <strong>to collect and upscale best practices in remembrance education<\/strong> developed by memorials, museums, organizations and educational centers active in this field and to <strong>produce teaching strategies tuned to formal education<\/strong> and work in classroom.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the activities to be carried out in the <strong>three years project<\/strong> period have been analysed, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>the creation of an online database of educational activities<\/strong> developed by structures in the field of Remembrance Education;<\/li>\n<li>the upscaling of the collected educational activities to adapt them to formal education:<\/li>\n<li><strong>the elaboration of a MOOC training programme<\/strong> <strong>addressed to teachers<\/strong> <strong>and educators<\/strong> based on the collection of different programmes and approaches.<\/li>\n<li>the redaction of <strong>Policy Recommendations addressed to EU and local education authorities<\/strong> for the use of Remembrance Education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, <strong>a Network of Memory Initiatives will be created<\/strong>, made up of <strong>memorials, relevant NGOs and other institutions<\/strong> working in Europe in the field of <strong>Remembrance Education and promotion of fundamental
