How to reduce energy consumption at domestic level<\/strong> and how supporting households in investing in green energy<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STEP BY STEP<\/a> is coming to an end: during these years, the households from 4 European cities have been supported to change their behaviours and attitude about energy consumption<\/strong>. An energy-saving culture<\/strong> and an increased awareness about environmental issues<\/strong> have been strongly promoted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, a personalised, step-by-step and free of charge coaching, suggesting easy daily actions, has been carried out in Ghent<\/strong> (Belgium), Warsaw<\/strong> (Poland), L\u2019Alc\u00fadia <\/strong>(Spain) and in Cefal\u00f9<\/strong> (PA \u2013 Italy) involving more than 6000 households<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Italian project\u2019s partners, CESIE<\/strong> and the Municipality of Cefal\u00f9<\/strong> have managed the implementation of the activities in Cefal\u00f9 offering a targeted coaching to guide participating households to choose sustainable energy behaviours<\/strong>, being active supporters of reducing climate change impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 27th<\/sup> 2018<\/strong>, during the final local event of STEP BY STEP, the final results<\/strong> achieved throughout 30 months of project\u2019s implementation will be shown. Moreover, we will talk about environmental protection through solar energy <\/strong>and sustainable mobility<\/strong> thanks to the contribution of Prof. Mario Pagliaro<\/strong> from \u201cPolo Fotovoltaico della Sicilia\u201d<\/strong> and Mr. Domenico Caminiti<\/strong> from AMAT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning session will come to an end with a Quiz on energy savings<\/strong> addressed to high schools and the award ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, the \u201cEnergy saving Fair\u201d<\/strong> will be opened with stands of companies and experts from the field of renewable energy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fair will be opened also on Sunday, 28th<\/sup> January<\/strong>: some streets will be closed and a test driving of electric cars<\/strong> will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is open to the public. Everyone is invited!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step by step commitments for energy savings<\/a> is a project funded by the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme<\/strong>. It aims at improving the behaviours and lifestyle of citizens about energy saving and to increase environmental awareness.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
