Promoting and improving health among migrants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How is it possible to promote and improve <strong>health among migrants<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>What strategies can be implemented to inform migrants about the <strong>health system of the hosting country<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>The first meeting of the project <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/project\/vim\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Vitality Intervention for Migrants &#8211; VIM<\/a><\/strong> took place in G\u00f6ttingen (Germany) on 11<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> December 2017.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-38775\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/vim.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"284\" height=\"212\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The project aims to promote information on a <strong>healthy lifestyle among migrants<\/strong> and to increase their confidence in using the existing <strong>health system<\/strong> in order to increase their skills in the health-related sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the acquisition of a healthy lifestyle is considered a prerequisite for a necessary <strong>integration<\/strong> into the learning systems of the host country.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In order to achieve this goal, VIM will be characterized by the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of a <strong>research report<\/strong> about health education of migrant.<\/li>\n<li>Creation of <strong>small training units<\/strong> about health education.<\/li>\n<li>Development of <strong>educational guidelines for educators<\/strong> working with migrants in diverse programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Elaboration of <strong><em>VIM Online hub<\/em><\/strong> for migrant health education that provides an information and educational resource hub for adult educators and other professionals involved in health education of migrants.<\/li>\n<li>Realisation of <strong><em>VIM in Practice and Experience report<\/em><\/strong> which documents and reflects the experiences gained in the piloting.<\/li>\n<li>Creation of <strong><em>VIM Quality Badge<\/em><\/strong> to convey the idea of adult educators and training providers that have embedded health prevention and health educational elements for their learners in their training courses according to the VIM approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" European Commission under the <strong>Erasmus + program, Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The consortium consists of the following European partners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a
