{"id":53658,"date":"2017-11-29T16:06:02","date_gmt":"2017-11-29T14:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/adult\/epods-first-test-of-the-tools-for-second-chance-education-teachers\/"},"modified":"2019-04-17T14:32:19","modified_gmt":"2019-04-17T12:32:19","slug":"epods-first-test-of-the-tools-for-second-chance-education-teachers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/adult\/epods-first-test-of-the-tools-for-second-chance-education-teachers\/","title":{"rendered":"EPODS: first test of the tools for Second Chance Education teachers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Which <strong>tools<\/strong> can be useful for the <strong>continuous professional development of teachers and trainers<\/strong> working in <strong>Second Chance Education<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>first Learning Teaching and Training Activity<\/strong> about the tools and resources developed within project <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/project\/epods\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>E-PODS \u2013 onlinE PrOfessional Development in Second chance Education<\/strong><\/a> was held in Heerlen (Netherlands) on the <strong>23<sup>rd<\/sup> and 24<sup>th<\/sup> November 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project partners have involved teachers and trainers from the 6 Countries of the Consortium E-PODS in the <strong>testing phase of the developed tools<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <strong>Second Chance E-Learning Offers (SCELOs)<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>e-learning courses<\/strong> for teachers and trainers to maintain high levels of support to students.<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>Second Chance Skills Portfolio (SCSP)<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>online tool for self-evaluation and digital Portfolio<\/strong> for an online European community of teachers and trainers working with NEETs (young people not in Education, Employment, or Training) and in Second Chance Schools.<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>Second Chance Moodle (SCOODLE)<\/strong> \u2013 online courses creation tool for teachers and trainers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These activities have achieved a two-fold<strong> goal<\/strong>: bringing participants to know the new tools, and making an important contribution to <strong>improving of the developed products<\/strong>. The teachers have highlighted strengths and weaknesses of tools, which will be taken into account in the finalization phase of the products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Training Activity to test the finalized products will be held in Palermo, Italy, in April 2018. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/project\/epods\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>E-PODS <\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is funded by <strong>Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 \u2013 Strategic Partnership for Adult education<\/strong> and aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>promote <strong>European integration of professional development of teachers<\/strong> and trainers in <strong>Second Chance education<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>set up an <strong>organic and growing database<\/strong> connecting tools, schools, teachers, trainers and beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project partnership holds together 8 organisations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.betawerk.nl\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Betawerk B.V.<\/a>(Netherlands, coordinator);<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/euriconeurope\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Stichting EURICON<\/a>(Netherlands);<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lmc.ac.uk\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Lancaster and Morecambe College<\/a>(United Kingdom);<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixsocialenterprise.com\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Phoenix Social Enterprise Limited<\/a>(United Kingdom);<\/li>\n<li>Diktyo Menon Symvouleftikes Ypiresies Ltd (Greece);<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wbk-schule-mg.de\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Weiterbildungskolleg M\u00f6nchengladbach<\/a>(Germany);<\/li>\n<li>Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute (Cyprus);<\/li>\n<li>CESIE (Italy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Want to read more, and discuss the findings with us?
